In 1970, the Occupational Safety and Health Act was enacted so workers could expect a safe and healthful work environment.
For 30 years OSHA has worked toward achieving that goal by passing workplace standards, setting acceptable limits, developing
voluntary guidelines, and making recommendations. OSHA continally reviews and redefines specific standards and practices,
while working to implement it's Congressional mandate completely and judiciously. One area receiving attention from
OSHA is that of confined space entry.
Occasionally, conditions exist where a confined space entry is required by OSHA. Ake Laboratory technicians are
specially trained and equipped to provide a wide range of services in these demanding conditions.
